A Birthday Remembered: Our Three Pupsters Would Be Turning 15 Today

#FiveSibes #Flashback ~ #Pupsters 1st Birthday ~ January 19, 2009Wow! As I sit here and think about my three Pupsters littermates—Wolfie and sisters Bandit and Chloe—on their birthday, I am in a surreal place of mind. My three *puppies*—the youngest of our FiveSibes pack, would be 15 today! FIFTEEN! Mind blown. ???? Our three adorable Pupsters when we brought them home!Three Siberian Husky puppies ~ Three times the fun! I always think of them in their youth and prime. Harley and Gibson the OGs of our pack, with the three puppies joining in wild Siberian Husky shenanigans. My wild and crazy and loving Husky "kids" who added three times the craziness and love, would be 15.  In honor of their birthday, (their Gotcha Day wasn't until April), I sit here and remember all the fun times, the zoomies across our yard, the howlfests, the excited Christmas morning and opening of their gifts, their fabulous birthday parties, and those endearing snoring nights that filled my heart as I watched them sleep so peacfully—safe and so loved.   “The past beats inside me like a second heart.”~John Banville, The Sea I've heard over the years that folks advise against having siblings, that they won't get along. I call baloney. Not only did my Pupsters get along for life, my entire five were so close, it was wonderful.  I always loved that my Pupsters would get to grow up together, never to be separated. I know it is more a human thought, but let me tell you, it was awesome to see it blossom in my Huskies. From the moment they came home at three months they snuggled, slept, bathed, pottied, ate, and played together. A forever family. Maybe we were just lucky, or maybe all our love filled their happy hearts, or maybe coming from such a cramped and dirty place four of them came from they just loved their new life...whatever it was, it was a true blessing to behold. They all were an inspiration for so much of my writing. They always loved energetic snow zoomies! Hoping they are having some today!I felt, and still feel, so very strongly about how it is possible to raise siblings together, that I penned an article in 4Knines and included a few of our FiveSibes tips. If you'd like to read it, please visit HERE.My positive article in 4Knines about raising littermates together! I have always felt so proud of how they all bonded and how the three pups always did everything in tandem. Time to go potty? We'd open the door and say, "Potty off the deck." All three nose-to-tail would race out the door, across the deck, and into the yard to do their business! Time to come in? All three in same formation would come in. When asked to "sit," all three would sit immediately in unison. Honestly, it was great! And that credit goes to my daughter for the training! As you have read here many times before, when it came to birthdays, I always made them an ice cream cake with treat crunches on top and wow...all five loved birthdays! The honorees would get first licks, followed by all five joining in and enjoying the vanilla cake. Yep, I loved how they could all eat and share food. It was a wonderful sight to see. My FiveSibes always together; pictured here laying in line in their "Husky Train" formation! ❤︎     Here is a wonderful flashback to their 8th Birthday from 2016. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed the party back then! Gosh, I so miss my furbabies.Happy Heavenly Birthday to my dear Pupsters, my baby boy Wolfie and sisters Bandit and Chloe. You are all so missed, as are my Gibson and Harley...run across those snowy fields north of the Rainbow Bridge, kick up some snow while having your zoomies (Bandit, I know you are body surfing on big brother Gibson's back!)...enjoy some ice cream cake all together, and know you are in my heart forever. Send me some snowflakes, and I'll have an ice cream in your honor. Love you for always, my dear Pupsters. ~Your Forever FiveSibesMom  Happy #ThrowbackThursday~and~ Blog & Photos  You're Invited...to a Blog Hop!This one is opened a day early to celebrate a very special date.    Come join us each week and share your fave Memory Lane pics from yesteryear or yesterday! Simply grab our badge, be sure to link to us, join the linky list below so others can come and visit your blog, and have some fun joining in our weekly Flashback Friday Blog Hop! Link open all week!      Visit our FiveSibes Facebook Page!    Back to our Home Page and Our Other Pages, inuding Our About the Breed Page and Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K-9 Epilepsy Resource Page, ArcticHouse Books & Gifts Shoppe & so much more!  Just click on "More" Pages at top of blog.
